The “San Diego County Unincorporated Land Cover Classification” product is a 5-class land cover map of the unincorporated portions of San Diego County. The vendor Imagis utilized image-based classificaiton to create the land cover product with the below categories for the entire unincorporated area of the County of San Diego. The input data included 2016 National Agriculture Imaging Program (NAIP) imagery with 0.6 m spatial resolution and feature height data derived from rasterized 2016 light detection and ranging (LIDAR) data. The 4-band NAIP imagery and the LIDAR data (except a few gap areas) were publicly available. The LIDAR-derived data included points and bare ground digital terrain model (DTM, in raster format) data. |
